The amazing orchestra of our brain!

This video presents incredible information about how musicians brain’s are different to those of non musicians.

Through neuroscientific studies we know that when listening to music the brain is engaged in interesting activities but recent studies show that when playing music the brain literally has fireworks going off in it! Playing music is the equivalent of a full body workout for the brain. It involves almost every area of the brain: visual, auditory and motor cortices and the disciplined and structured practice regimes of musicians strengthen these brain functions. Playing music has been found to increase the volume and activity of the brains corpus callous which is the bridge between the right and left hemispheres. This means that messages can get across the brain faster and through more diverse routes in musicians.
