Music and the inner self

James is wonderful! I think you might like this short lecture – he has a hugely interesting brain and his thought patterns are honest and gritty. He says Bach is the proof that there is a God and that we need to take time to be still, absorb music and to continue teaching music and the art of listening in schools.

London Hand Therapy has moved to The London Orthopaedic Clinic

I am very excited to announce that London Hand Therapy has moved to The London Orthopaedic Clinic, 79 Wimpole Street, London, W1G 9RY.

This clinic has many excellent specialists including three brilliant hand surgeons, pain specialists, foot surgeons, podiatry and radiology facilities.

I have been welcomed so warmly and look forward to working more with the team members there.

Stephen Hough and Danny Boy …

It was with pride that I went to Wigmore Hall in October and heard my wonderful patient Alisdair Hogarth, pianist and artistic director of The Prince Consort in full flight. The group has a fruitful collaboration with pianist Stephen Hough and the concert programme was of Hough’s stunning, deep, soul searching and sometimes hilarious compositions for voice and piano. The encore was a charming, reflective and beautiful arrangement of an old favourite – Danny Boy – which was a breath taking finish to a night that will live in my heart and mind forever. Hand Therapy is both an art and a rehabilitation science for the upper extremity. The injured limb is evaluated and assessed, and a variety of treatment methods are used to achieve set therapeutic goals.
