Prosthetic arms that make all the difference!

This remarkable project in Southern Sudan is inspirational and brought tears to my eyes. As Mother Teresa said: ‘Never worry about numbers. Help one person at a time and always start with the person nearest you.’ We may all take our hands, arms and health for granted. This project enables individuals who are affected by the war in Southern Sudan to regain their independence by allowing them to have an arm again. They can feed themselves, dress themselves, play games and show affection with their prosthetic limbs. Look at the smiles on the faces that are helped! This is an ongoing sustainable project for the local communities to embrace. Watch and be inspired:

London Hand Therapy:

Hand Therapy is both an art and a rehabilitation science for the upper extremity. The injured limb is evaluated and assessed, and a variety of treatment methods are used to achieve set therapeutic goals.

Hand therapists are qualified Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists who have become skilled in treating upper limb injuries and deformities through further education, training and clinical experience.
