The brain controls our hand movements!

Cinema Paradiso with Yo-Yo Ma and Chris Botti displays a wonderful combination of a spectacular classical cellist playing with Chris Botti a fabulous jazzer. Such passion is exerted as the two musicians work together. There are also wonderful hand movements for us all to look at and analyse the complex intrinsic relationship between the brain and the hands to produce these sounds! Katherine receives Natalie Barr Award for her contribution to hand therapy

The Natalie Barr Award is a long term achievement award to recognise a BAHT member who has made a substantial contribution to hand therapy. This award has only been given six times in BAHT’s history which indicates the significance of the award and the high standard required to achieve this..

Paul Waring – Portugal Masters included birdies on the 16th and 17th holes.

Paul Waring was a patient at London Hand Therapy following wrist surgery and could not play at all when he first arrived for assessment and treatment. He is now back at the top and hoping to get into one of the big four events (the inaugural Final Series at the end of the season)…

London Hand Therapy:

Hand Therapy is both an art and a rehabilitation science for the upper extremity. The injured limb is evaluated and assessed, and a variety of treatment methods are used to achieve set therapeutic goals.

Hand therapists are qualified Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists who have become skilled in treating upper limb injuries and deformities through further education, training and clinical experience.
