Daily Mail Article – James Galway

The brilliant James Galway could have lost his career had he not found the Wii so beneficial to his rehabilitation. Playing against his grandson and laughing a lot helped him get back to performing on his golden flute! We are all pleased to have him back!

This is the first of four articles that Acoustic Magazine have asked me to write. The focus of these articles is on how to prevent injuries and how to enjoy playing the guitar without hurting yourself. Hand Therapy is both an art and a rehabilitation science for the upper extremity. The injured limb is evaluated and assessed, and a variety of treatment methods are used to achieve set therapeutic goals.

Hand therapists are qualified Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists who have become skilled in treating upper limb injuries and deformities through further education, training and clinical experience.
